LEARN A LIFESAVING SKILL! You will learn adult, child and infant CPR, how to use an AED and what to do if someone is choking in this American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED course that has been updated for the latest guidelines. Participants who successfully complete the course will earn their Heartsaver CPR/AED certification card which is valid for 2 years. This course involves hands-on skills practice. Participants will be sitting, standing, and kneeling to learn the lifesaving skills of CPR.

Course includes adult, child and infant CPR; use of an AED; choking and how to use barrier devices.  This is an OSHA approved workplace course.  This course is not a Healthcare Provider level course.  

This course is held at Dover Adult Learning Center, McConnell Center Cafeteria, 61 Locust St, Dover, NH 03820

Course charge is $50 which includes the required textbook. 

Participants who feel they have may have difficulty with the physical aspects of practicing CPR should contact the instructor about accommodations.

Course charge is $65 which includes the required textbook.

Classroom skills session only (if course link is purchase separately) is $50

Course participants must turn in their course completion certificate at the skills session or can email it to the instructor prior to the class.

ASHI Community CPR AED Blended Course

Please note this online course is very comprehensive and does have realistic emergency and injury graphics.

CPR for New & Expecting Parents

Course covers infant, child & adult CPR, how to use an AED and relief of choking.  This class is geared towards new and expecting parents.  New parents can bring young infants and children to the class with them.  This is not a healthcare provider level course and certification cards are not earned in this course.

Cost is $65 for couples, $45 for an individual.

Infant CPR for New & Expecting Parents at Portsmouth Regional Hospital

Infant CPR for New and Expecting Parents is a CPR for Family & Friends class that is tailored for new and expecting parents, grandparents, and caregivers. Accommodations are made in the class for expecting parents to make learning a life-saving skill, a comfortable experience. Parents and caregivers of young infants and children can bring them along to class. Breaks are taken as needed for nursing mothers, diaper changes and tending to the needs of our children. Course information includes infant and child CPR, using an AED, relief of choking for infants & children, child car seat safety, and several first aid topics. This program does not lead to CPR or First Aid certification, but is designed specifically for new parents to be prepared for what to do in an emergency.

Single Registration - $30.00

Couple Registration - $45.00

This class will be held at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in the Shoals Building Classroom 4 located at 333 Borthwick Ave Portsmouth, NH 03801.  Please use the parking lot in the front of the hospital or go in the Main Entrance. Once inside the lobby, go to you right and you will enter into the Shoals Building. Follow the walkway back to the end and you will be at the classrooms. It will be in Classroom 4.Please wear comfortable clothing. Parents and Caregivers of young children can bring them along to class. Breaks are taken as needed. Payment is due at the time of registration.

Refund policy: Full refund given if cancellation is done 72 hours prior to start of class.
